A shipment of Robusta Cambodia can be exposed to loss, physical damage, water, handling incidents or other transit problems. Cargo insurance is one tool for managing the financial impact.
Know who carries the risk
The agreed delivery term influences when transport risk moves between seller and buyer. The contract should state clearly which party arranges insurance and what period is covered.
Read the coverage, not only the premium
Buyers should understand exclusions, deductible, valuation basis, claim notice requirements and the documents needed to prove a loss. Quality deterioration can be harder to claim than obvious physical damage, depending on the policy.
Preserve evidence
Inspection reports, photos, shipping records, invoices and retained samples can matter if a claim is filed.
